Howdy. Dave Maass here.
I was born and raised in the dead heat of Arizona, but these days I'm living in San Francisco, where I handle media relations at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and do a bit of freelance writing on the side--that's kind of why I still have this site.
As an investigative reporter, I cover issues ranging from election politics to criminal justice, but my journalistic interests span the gamut. I blog about geek culture and I've coordinated multimedia for road rallies. On occasion, I write fiction and literary nonfiction and dabble in photography.
